Meghalaya, Manipur, and Varanasi Tourism

Think of exploring the north-east. Every state in this region is a little paradise on earth; such is the scenic beauty endowed by Nature! When we speak about Meghalaya tourism and Manipur tourism, it is more of dense forests and hills that you will come across which attract different species of birds and animals. It is no surprise if you come across adventure lovers trekking in the hilly forests and exploring the flora and fauna. Mystic mountain peaks, enthralling valleys, waterfalls, crystal clear water lakes, and more are the key attractions related to Meghalaya tourism and Manipur Tourism.

Without mention of Shillong, Meghalaya tourism seems incomplete. This capital city of Meghalaya attracts maximum tourists; Shillong Peak, Sweet Falls, Wards Lake, Bishop's Falls, Spread Eagle Falls, Elephant Falls, Beadon Falls, Crinoline Falls, Umiam Lake, Shillong Golf Club, Butterfly Museum are the top attractions here. Manipur tourism has not gained much popularity compared to the other states. Rugged terrains and lack of transportation are the drawbacks in most areas. The government is undertaking measures to promote tourism in the area.

In the central part of the country is one of the most revered religious destinations. It is Varanasi, also known as Kashi and Banaras. The very mention of Varanasi Tourism will ship you to a city founded by Lord Shiva about 5000 years ago. It finds mention in the ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Mahabharata’. It is not only pilgrimage that Varanasi tourism is all about. Varanasi is also famous as a centre of silk weaving.
